Activités / CV

S. P. obtained his PhD in chemistry in 2014 (ENS Lyon), developing near-infrared (NIR) polymethine dyes for applications in the field of nonlinear optics for applications in defense, bio-imaging, and organic electronics. After two years of postdoc at the University of Geneva, working on the synthesis of cationic helicene dyes and the study of their (chir)optical properties, he was appointed Chargé de Recherche CNRS in the chemistry department at CINaM (Dec. 2016). There he explored the chemistry of quinone-based dyes and ligands, their use as molecular wires, acidochromic or vapochromic probes and the molecular engineering of visible-to-NIR macrocycles for photoacoustic imaging, cyanide detection or photopolymerization. In 2022, he obtained his Habilitation to direct researches (HDR) from Aix-Marseille Université and in 2023 he joined the CEISAM institute in Nantes to develop NIR dyes for energy production.
