�� Clap de fin pour les Brown Bags 2024-2025 !

Le dernier Brown Bag Lunch de l’année universitaire 2024-2025 s’est tenu le 22 mai au Lab de la BU, dans une atmosphère conviviale et inspirante. Pour cette dernière édition, nous avons eu le plaisir d’accueillir Baptiste Chantraine, dont l’intervention autour du thème « Arts et sciences » a suscité de riches réflexions et de nombreux échanges.

C’est nombreux et autour des délicieuses pizzas du 149 que nous avons exploré les liens multiples et souvent surprenants entre la création artistique et la recherche scientifique. Baptiste Chantraine nous a présenté diverses initiatives arts-sciences menées au LMJL (Laboratoire de Mathématiques Jean Leray) et au LS2N (Laboratoire des Sciences du Numérique de Nantes), illustrant comment ces approches interdisciplinaires peuvent prendre vie sous des formes variées.

Ce moment d’échange, à la fois stimulant et détendu, a été grandement enrichi par les questions, témoignages et remarques des participants. Un immense merci à toutes celles et ceux qui étaient présents, pour leur curiosité, leur enthousiasme et leur contribution à la qualité des discussions.

Nous en profitons également pour remercier chaleureusement l’ensemble des intervenants qui ont jalonné cette année de Brown Bags : grâce à eux, nous avons abordé une grande variété de sujets, toujours dans une démarche de partage de connaissances, de découvertes et d’ouverture.

�� Et ce n’est qu’un au revoir !
Les Brown Bags reprendront dès la rentrée 2025-2026 avec une première session consacrée à la présentation de l’EUR MASTIC par Benoît Delahaye.

�� A Wrap for the 2024–2025 Brown Bags!

The final Brown Bag Lunch of the 2024–2025 academic year took place on May 22 at the Lab of the University Library, in a warm and inspiring atmosphere. For this closing edition, we had the pleasure of welcoming Baptiste Chantraine, whose talk on the theme "Art and Science" sparked rich reflections and lively discussions.

Gathered in large numbers around the delicious pizzas from 149, we explored the many — and often surprising — connections between artistic creation and scientific research. Baptiste Chantraine presented several art-science initiatives carried out in recent years at the LMJL (Jean Leray Mathematics Laboratory) and LS2N (Laboratory of Digital Sciences of Nantes), showing how these interdisciplinary approaches can take on a wide variety of forms.

This moment of exchange, both stimulating and relaxed, was greatly enriched by the questions, testimonials, and insights shared by participants. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended for their curiosity, enthusiasm, and contributions to the quality of the discussions.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all the speakers who participated throughout the year: thanks to them, we were able to explore a wide range of topics, always with a spirit of openness, learning, and intellectual curiosity.

�� And this is only a goodbye — not a farewell!
The Brown Bags will be back at the start of the 2025–2026 academic year, kicking off with a session dedicated to the presentation of EUR MASTIC (Mathematics, Sciences, and Technologies of Information and Communication) by Benoît Delahaye.
