Etienne DANTAN

I mainly teach Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Biomedical Research Methodology at Nantes University at various levels of the academic program (Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate).
I am responsible for the Master 2 Méthodes en Pharmacologie Clinique, Biostatistique et Epidémiologie (https://pharmacie.univ-nantes.fr/les-formations/master-doctorat-duniversite/master-methodes-en-pharmacologie-clinique-biostatistique-et-epidemiologie).

My research concerns the development and the use of statistical approaches to study the health state evolution of patients suffering from chronic diseases. It concerns three main themes: i) modeling the natural history of chronic diseases, ii) development on predictive tools and iii) proposing patient-centered approaches for medical decision making. Essentially motivated by clinical research questions in Health, my researches focus on methodological issues from real-life settings.
