Mes recherches portent sur la variabilité dans la cognition de haut niveau : quels mécanismes sont à l'origine des différences inter- ou intra-individuelles de performance dans les tâches complexes ?

• Je m'intéresse essentiellement à la variabilité de l'intelligence, de la mémoire de travail, et du contrôle cognitif. J'étudie la variabilité sous l'angle de la variabilité liée au développement cognitif de l'enfant, des différences inter-individuelles chez l'adulte, et parfois des populations atypiques. Je travaille plus particulièrement sur les mécanismes qualitatifs à l'origine des différences, tels que l'utilisation de différentes stratégies de raisonnement ou de différents modes de contrôle cognitif.
• Dans la continuité de mes intérêts de recherche, j'ai développé une expertise en psychométrie et en conception de tests et de mesures. Je m'intéresse en particulier au développement de tâches adaptatives de raisonnement ou de mémoire de travail permettant leur déploiement chez des enfants d'âges et de niveaux de compétences différents.
• Mon intérêt pour la mesure et l'analyse de la variabilité m'a logiquement conduit à des travaux en statistiques appliquées. Je travaille sur la modélisation statistique de la variabilité en utilisant par exemple l'analyse de profils, les modèles mixtes ou encore les modèles GAM pour l'analyse de trajectoires intra-tâches ou développementales.
