Du 18 décembre 2023 au 31 mai 2024false false
You are a postdoctoral researcher, and would like to expand your experience with a stay in a French research group ? You are ready for a new challenge and an international career? You would like to broaden your network and mature as an independent researcher ? Then the Marie Sklodowska Curie Action (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship (PF) from the Horizon Europe programme is made for you !
What is the "Springboard toward Marie Sklodowska Curie" ?
Nantes Université wishes to attract future MSCA Fellowship candidates and support them with their application. "Springboard to Marie Sklodowska Curie" is willing to help supervisors to find reliable European and international candidates as well as to codesign projects between the research candidate, the supervisor and the European grant office. Beneficiaries of this call of proposal will take part to an online training that will cover everything they need to know to propose a competitive MSCA-PF application.
Then a two-day stay* will be funded up to July 15th for meeting, training and support. Nantes Université will give the fellow the opportunity to come to Nantes for 2 days to meet his/her supervisor and work on the writing of the project. This grant cover the event expenditures up to 1000€ for EU countries and up to 2000€ for non-EU countries: travel, hotel and subsistence expenses (for 2 days and up to 3 nights). Visa fees are not covered.
* Visa: if a visa is required to come to France, it is strongly advised to make an appointment with the relevant authorities well in advance to obtain the document in time. You can find the relevant information here.
About the MSCA PF scheme
MSCA PF is a great option if you are a researcher looking to give your career a boost by working abroad. This fellowships offer exciting new learning opportunities and a chance to add some sparkle to your CV.
A MSCA PF is based on the application of a researcher with a PhD (see Who can apply section) proposing a research training project and supervised by a supervisor from the host institution.
The goal of MSCA PF is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of researchers who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training, international, interdisciplinary and intersectoral mobility.
MSCA PF are open to excellent researchers of any nationality. They provide funding for researchers (the grant usually covers up to two years salary, a mobility allowance, research costs) and overheads for the host institution.
Postdoc researchers submit proposals for funding together with their planned host organisation under the umbrella of their supervisor. Proposals are evaluated on research quality, the researcher’s future career prospects, and the support offered by the host organisation.
Why join Nantes Université as a researcher ?
Nantes Université is a higher education and research institution and one of the driving forces behind societal development. With a global and outward-looking culture, it promotes innovativeness and openness: open science, open research, open education, open innovation. Nantes Université has received the HR Excellence in Research Award and is already involved in various European projects, notably MSCA actions. This label underlines the institution's ambition to provide a quality working environment for its researchers. It represents an asset for developing national and international partnerships and facilitates access to European funding.
Who can apply?
Researchers who:
- have completed a PhD or will complete it at the date of the EU call deadline,
- have a maximum of 8 years full-time equivalent experience in research at the time of the EU call deadline,
- have not resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc...) in France for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the EU call deadline.
How to apply?
If you are interested in applying, please:
- In the list below, identify the priority scientific field, supervisor and laboratory you are interested in.
- Download and fill in the Application Form
